Sergio Berensztein

Mr Beresztein is a renowned political consultant and analyst who teaches at Torcuato
Di Tella University in Buenos Aires. He works as a consultant to the United Nations
Development Programme and the World Bank and has been the Andrew Mellon Visiting
Professor at Duke University. He coordinates the Dialogue Table for the political
reform of the Province of Buenos Aires, and is a director of PROLID (Democratic
Leadership Program).
Mr Berensztein has written more than 30 publications on political reform, institutional
development and the political economy of structural reforms in Latin America. He
serves on several civil society organizations boards: the Executive Board of Political
Reform Now!, the advisory boards of Asociación Conciencia, Grupo Interrupción and
Fundación Grupo Sophía, and the Board of Directors of AREA (Strategic Reflection
Association of Argentina).
He has a PhD in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel
