Initial Investment - 2003

Sentient made an initial investment in the Bowie thermal coal mine, located in Colorado, via equity and a bridging facility to earn a 45% interest in the project. Sentient sold its direct interest in Bowie for a combination of cash and shares in Energy Coal Resources, Inc (“ECR”) in late 2005.  Sentient has remained a shareholder of ECR since that time.
